The President Of PeaceTrump! Trump! Trump!
I agree, drivers jump ship all the time and its no big deal but when a trainer or owner makes a change it becomes news ?
When a horse has 15 starts, ten wins, two or three seconds, and $700k+ on his card, it is beyond ignorant to change drivers.
I do want to clarify something, I never said it was the right move, just that I don't thinks its a big deal. I probably wouldn't have done it in this particular situation but I just think its hypocritical to say that the act of pulling a driver is wrong while them choosing off isn't.
I thought it was a bad steer on a horse that laid over his competition. Gotta go with LB46 on this - Morrill would drop him in a heartbeat if a better offer came along. And I always say if you can get one of the Top 5, you take him.
This is probably the closest to the truth you will ever get!! The drivers have no loyalty anymore , unless it's a father/son combo. You go with what ever is in YOUR best interest, period!!
And Morrill has the drive back for the breeders Crown Elims
