What was Woodbine's handle compared to previous years?

I think the term "clown" was used previously.............my thoughts?  The circus still went on.  8)

I'm a firm believer in things happening for a reason............they weren't supposed to get there plain and simple...........I can't believe anyone thinks it was an intentional plan, it was a mistake......we all make em........their punishment?  The money they lost..........now it is time to move on.

When you replace Tim Tetrick, David Miller, George Brennan, and Yannick Gingras with Dave Palone, John Campbell, Luc Oulette, and Brian Sears, you are not missing a whole lot.

I do agree though that Gregory was a bit of a stretch.

As far as MOMM, there has to be more to his retirement than meets the eye.

Just announced back to Woodbine next year. Word is Gingras and company chartered a Friday, 10/26/2012 plane rflmao1.\

It's one thing when weather diverts a flight for a guy coming in to drive one race, like the Battle of Lake Erie, but for the richest night in the biz? I would have been in a comfy Rexdale hotel Friday night.

Funny how J. Gregory got there when I don't think he was even listed to

drive.  idunno

If I were an owner/trainer of any of them horses the guy that drove them

on B.C. night would be offered the drive next start out.

They handled 3.7 million compared to 2.8 million at Pocono.

The last time the Big M had the 2-3 year old races ( 8 of them) they handled 5.2 million ( it was 2008, 2009 they had the older divisions)

I often did that Hugh. If my regular driver one week chose off, I let the guy who drove for me drive twice, even if I didn't like the guy.

Actually fired McKirgan from ever driving another pacer for me when he chose off one of mine 21 years ago....and he is about my best friend at Northfield.

When I have one ready to win, Bruce Sturgeon can win with him. I don't need Yannick Gingras. ;D

They can try and deflect the blame all they want but it is there fault
for not being at Woodbine period.
They had a flight scheduled that would have gotten to Woodbine about an hour before the races begin.Everyone knew bad weather was rolling in with reports by Friday. They left themselves no outs in case anything went wrong and things do go wrong all the time.
On the biggest day purse wise in harness racing not one of these clowns thought about taking no chances and going earlier ?

I'm sorry but I'm NOT buying the weather or Airline screwed them, they screwed themselves.

Couldnt of said it better tross.  thumbsup

Actually Pierce stayed back to drive at Sudbury Downs in Ontario as a guest driver on Oct 26, which was three days before the BC.

In 9 races he won 5. The total handle at Sudbury Downs that night was $7767.

That much?  Just shows what having a top driver show up can do for a track. 8) 8) 8)
