In my decades as a trainer I never had one positive because I never doped a horse, but a 3 day detention would have put me out of the business. I worked a day-job and trained and raced at night and on weekends until I retired. No way I could sit at a track for 3 days every week to race for every horse I entered. Plus: How would my other horses get taken care of if I was miles away twiddling my thumbs for 3 days?
Somewhere in Kenya a village is missing it's idiot.

It's a ridiculous and devastating suggestion..........and talk about punishment before there is even a crime.  idunno

I think this whole discussion is a huge disrespect shown to 99.9% of the trainers and vets trying to make a living day in and day out.

99.9% ?   rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1

Unless there is 100 million  trainers in North America the USTA fines and suspensions lists paint a diffrerent story.

And you are totally clueless to what those fines and suspensions actually mean.

This game is highly regulated.

Regulations which you could not adhere to in performing your job daily.

For you to equate every suspension or fine for a medication violation as a "criminal" behavior you are basically saying rolling through a stop sign is akin to murder.

This is an old argument........and continually perpetrated by those who I'd rather see completely away from horse racing.

Go ahead and point out how we couldn't make it with out you.......I'll take my chances.

I wish some of you would make up your minds.........one one hand you point out the fines and suspensions and how the testing is obviously working..........and then you'll go on about Pena and how the testing doesn't work?

Which is it?  idunno

IMO there is NO profession in which 99.9% of the people are completley honest.

I know exactly what fines and suspensions mean.I hjave read about enuff trainers breaking some rules to what exactly what they mean.

There are plenty of jobs regulated as much if not more.

Show me where I said evry violation was a criminal act .

I have learned long ago I was not important to the game as a bettor.I only question why the game needs slots ?

If you want to respond to me please have your facts correct.
Where am I on record either way that testing does or does not work ?

Because the entertainment dollar has hundreds of places to go........slots won't save the game in the long run either.

Why did motion pictures need talkies?  And color?

For the record though........I'm pretty sure I don't need your permission to respond.........whether factual or not.  ;)

Washwoman gossip, one would expect it from a MAGGOT like you Dave...a lifetime of being violated has turned you into a girly girl...

Ok Gary... What's that supposed to mean?  Please explain how you don't find that offensive? In detail... Please explain what you feel that means. I'm very interested.

You can be friends with Brainard all you want. Bottom line is Gural put her in jail, and all her horses finished up the track. Why? Cause Joshy couldn't juice them IMO.

I was going to stay out of this thread but I have to respond now. Perception is everything. This game will only thrive if the BETTING PUBLIC think they are not getting screwed over.

Well he is an example that the betting public, you know the people who if they didn't exist, the horseman would race for really nothing. Well the betting public knows that Tracy brainard is associated with Josh marks, The same Josh Marks that can't get a license in NORTH AMERICA anymore. That say's a lot don't you think! If it doesn't then God Help you.

99.9%  rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1   How about the 12 trainers that got kicked out earlier this year? How about ( Sorry Jeff not singling you out but the best example I can give) the reigning filly of the year , now no longer in the Kesmodel barn, that can't get a check in any race she is in??? It could be a variety of things but what does the betting public think of that? Easy Answer, she was given something she wasn't supposed to have, and now doesn't get it! ( Not by me, but that is what you hear)

Amy, you can defend anyone you want, it is your right, but at the same time, you have to understand where the people who support your game are coming from. It is well known about certain people, and I don't care who is friends with who, if it smells like a skunk, and looks like a skunk, it probably is.

I still play the game, cause I love it and always will, but to act like the game is alright and 100% true is really trying to sell someone a bridge. Sometimes pointing out the bad things in something can make the total sport much better.

As for the Javelina post, anyone in their right mind knows what it meant give me a break. It is Juice junkies who is already barred from the site geesh...

Furthermore 3 other posters commented about it being inappropriate. If you're that far up Brainards ass that you can't accept criticism that's fine. Everyone else saw it, and understands you're playing favorites.
