Question About ADWs

Do you suppose that, during high volume wagering periods, our favorite ADW sites employ software that recognizes bigger wagers and then prioritizes them over smaller bets?  I'm wondering if the "whales" ever get that prolonged "sending wager" message, which can lead to getting shut out.

I doubt if the whales get shut out. Highly unlikely to me.

I found that wagering through the "Twinspires TV " page is very slow and frequently it hangs up and doesn't accept my wager.  I've now switched to the "Wager Pro Pad" (the old Youbet technology offered by Twinspires) and it's lightning fast without the hang ups.

I'm a last minute bettor and it's made a huge difference to me.

I doubt if there's an algorithm that prioritizes big bets over smaller ones.  It would just slow the process down even further.  It's in their best interest to accept as many wagers as possible.  Then again, common sense does not always equal reality.

I on the other hand, have never had a problem using the Twinspires TV wager pad.  Of course, my bets are not as involved or as big compared to CC!

Slowing down the process is not a problem if it's the 10-cent-super bettor that gets shut out.  Look at what
Las Vegas does to keep big bettors happy.  Big bettors just don't stand in line.

A good algorithm would prioritize based on MTP, size of wager, and the % of kickbacks the ADW gets from the track.   

Of course, the MTP factor would have to be adjusted with Maywood/Balmoral.
MTP(actual) = MTP(May/Bal) + 10 minutes
