Let's be clear, I am an alligator fan. I have four of my own. But without this hunt, these animals would be overrunning the state of Louisiana. Better to process them (gator meat is high in protein, low in fat) than to have them start dying due to overcrowding and starvation like with the deer.
And anyone who does not agree with killing them has never lived in the south, where those of us who have have seen the damage these beasts do to humans and animals.
These are some dangerous sum bitches!
And Swamp People is so much more than just killing gators. Willie went out and caught over 200 snakes one night for research labs, Mitchell and his brother Glenn go frogging, catfishing, hunting, etc. It is basically about living off the land-something not many of us could manage. I would also love to have some of the stuff Mitchell and Glenn smoke!
One of the most exciting things I ever saw was Willie killing a gator with his pocket knife! That kid has more balls than all of us combined I think.
