Effectively immediately, all horses entering Yonkers Raceway's paddock and barn area shall be required to have a current health certificate. No exceptions are to be made to this edict, which remains in effect until further notice. For further information, please contact the race office at (914) 457-2627.
Freehold Raceway has announced that all horses that have either raced or have been on the premises of Saratoga Raceway in the month of March will not be permitted at Freehold Raceway until further notice and Scarborough Downs has adopted the following policies regarding all horses entering to race or desiring to be stabled at the track:
1. All out of state horses must present a current health certificate before being granted admission to the paddock or the grounds.
2. All horses shipping in to race will be subject to an inspection conducted by Dr. Zack Matzkin (State Veterinarian) before being allowed into the paddock.
3. Any horse that was on the grounds at Saratoga Raceway AFTER March 18th will not be allowed to race or stable at Scarborough Downs until further notice.
Although Scarborough Downs does not currently require the strangles vaccine, horsemen are encouraged to consult their veterinarians regarding available vaccinations and/or swab tests.
