I've gone insane!
« on: October 25, 2011, 07:35:02 AM »
Twinspires now has Swedish harness racing.  I'm going to tackle todays card from Axevall, 11 exciting races, anywhere from 10-15 horses a race.  I'll let you know how I do.  Anyone have any tips? rflmao1 rflmao1

I had the winner of the 2nd race, #2 Turbonina, driven by Jorgen Asen. Paid $4.64 to win. Was 5-1 when I bet her.  Late money talks Swedish too I guess.
Some races they use a starting gate and others, it's sort of a walk up start.  They have win and show betting, quinellas and trifectas.  No interviews, they have all the tracks on one channel so when the race is over, they switch to another track.  Very hard to tell which horse is yours. They have a number on them but they are all the same color.  I guess you have to take note of the driver's colors, but they are not listed in the program.
Since I have more winners thananyone else,i herebye declare myself "King of Swedish Harness Racing" bowdown bowdown bowdown

The twin list payoffs in dollars.  On the screen it is in euros, I think.
Still on fire!  Hit the qunella for $58.55 in the 4th.  Played the #9 on top. Was 7-1, 1 minute to post.  Goes off 7/2, sweeps four wide on the last turn and draws off!!  Had him to win also.

Well, I made my last bet on todays card.  I'm "going home" a winner no mater what.  Very interesting racing.  The large fields, varied distances and starting methods make it exciting.  Was amazed at the gate speed of some of these horses to grab the lead from the outside at the start.  Yes, they do have an open stretch.  They have a chaulk line on the track to mark it off.
They don't show the time of the race on the screen.  Makes it hard to judge how fast they are going. Will have to dust off my stopwatch.
