Early in Mitch Daniels response to the SOTU last night, he said, " I personally would add to that list admiration for the strong family commitment that he and the First Lady have displayed to a nation sorely needing such examples."

Did anyone else take that as a dig at Gingrich or was I the only one listening?

I did not watch either the SOTN or the rebuttal, mainly because it is impossible to separate the truth from the bullshit. All I know is either way, we get screwed.

I did read parts of the rebuttal, and it sort of mirrors what I have said about Obama. The only thing I can say good about the guy is I think he is a very good father to his kids. Hell he might even be fun to party with, but as a president....hell no!

Whoopie, he's as good father, allegedly.  Obviously that qualifies him.  As far as partying, I'm sure he's got his stash!

In the meantime, are any of these Gingrich backers paying any attention to national polls which indicate he will get creamed by Obama?  Americans continue to be stupidly naive.  They just never learn.  The GOP will have as many debates this week as Obama will give Newt.  The rest will be about spending $1 billion to (easily) bury Newt's character.  If it's Newt it'll be an Obama landslide the likes of Reagan's 2nd term.

I wish I had taped the 1st lady 's visit to a church in Columbus Oh when she was rallying the huddled masses to get her hubby elected.  It was a hate filled rally that she all but said " Get Whitey"  Never saw another news clip of her again in Ohio actually speaking.  HHMM  wonder who shut her up? She may be spruced up but she is still the same hateful witch that she was 4 yrs ago.  We might as well head to Canada or Sweden. USA is toast.

I too am appalled by the choices the Republicans have come up with. Not a single one I would vote for other than the Libertarian Ron Paul. I loved New Mexico's former governor too...Gary Johnson, who may actually be maneuvering towards the Libertarian nomination.

Those are the only two I will even consider voting for at this point. Hell I'd vote for Hilary over these ass-clowns.

I was asleep as the Bamster walked thru the door of the chamber.
I remember muttering something to the effect of "Oh crap---more of his lies" and the lights went out.
There was a way more important basketball game, at the same time, on espn that I should have been watching. Thank God (is that allowed here?) for TIVO. Love that channel at times like that.
