We learned in our initial trials of the mini-cams to not put them on a fron-running favorite, cuz the scenery never changes. Good horses that like to lay off the pace and close big make the best views.
For non-drivers: all the clicking you hear early after the start is limestone pelting the camera that's flying up from the horses' shoes. The drivers get pelted the entire mile, and if the track is deep, it's really hiiting you.
