Interview with his latest wife, Luann Case, former wifre of Jeff Kroninger.
I know Jeff was injured awhile back in a spill.  Did he ever return to driving?

IMO Case does not deserve to be back in the sulky anywhere.

Niatross,
I respect your opinion, but he has done his sentence and IMO everybody deserves another chance. We have athletes in the NFL, NBA and even college who have been given another chance. even Herve was allowed back.

I don't like what he did or how he acted one little bit but he has done his time and

will have to answer to the good Lord above. IMO he should have a chance to earn

a living and hopefully help younger guys coming up sharing his experiences and

setting a shining example, if he screws up then toss his ass to the curb pronto !

IMO allowing Case back in the sulky speaks loudly into the lack of integrity in racing. He is a convicted felon and in some jobs you just cannot be hired.I think Jocks and Drivers should be among them
Case had mutiple violations ON THE TRACK in multiple states and ran away from them.Putting him back in the bike puts everyone else at risk inclduing the bettors.

I don't know that he really ran away from all of them. The commissions knew where to find him.

I wonder if all the horses he kicked in Ohio would welcome him back.

I think they would be unanimous: bring back Walter and ban the whip.

Gary I agree with you, I had rather see them get kicked and throw the whips away

They let all offenders back sooner or later.  Is Walter any worse than some of them.  Not really. He is a talented driver for sure.  His biggest mistakes were not made on the track but in his personal life.  so I have to lean toward letting him back on the track. what the hell. will he stay clean?  only time will tell. but he sure can drive the hell out of anything he has between the shafts.  I hope he has conquered his demons for his sake.   we will soon see.  one thing for sure.  he is getting too old to keep starting over and over.  this may very well be his last hurrah whatever it may be.

I'd love to see him drive again.  Hope he makes it back and keeps his life in order.

Case is one of the best to ever drive a horse, and is also a trainwreck in his personal life. I'm not quite sure how anyone could choose to live with him with the thought of getting stabbed with a steak knife.

As for his kicking violations: almost all were him brushing his foot on the horses hock at high speeds, not actually kicking the horse. I would much rather be kicked in the ass than cut with a whip.

I got fined under the kicking rule once at Blmpk. I took a last minute catch-drive when the driver didn't show. My little stubby legs couldn't reach both stirrups on the bike he was hitched to, so I got a toe-hold with one foot and put the other on the fork of the bike.(a trick I learned driving at the fairs when the owners furnished their own bikes) I was told to call the judges when I came off the track, and informed that I was fined for having my feet out of the stirrups, so I was charged with a kicking violation. I've never kicked a horse in a race in my life.

But... Case had been in trouble for the hock-brushing tactic many times and still refused to let it go. He was asking for all the fines. I truly hope he can hold his life together and overcome his demons. But I have too be skeptical.

Happened to me at Leb in a Billings race (although the judges never saw it) Driving one of Virgil's and his guys had no racebikes there, so I borrow Bret Miller's. Bret is only a bit taller than me, but man does he have long legs. I get the top and the little rat ( Y L Face a Face) starts stalling at the half. Not only are my toes barely tocuhing the stirrups, but I can't get the freaking earplugs out either. Looks like I kicked the horse about six times right at the half.
