Only 1 pick 3? That sucks. Otherwise it is exactly the same

Pick 4 guarantee's  thumbsup thumbsup

Opening weekend festivities include a color wall calendar giveaway to the first 3,000 paid admissions on Saturday, Jan. 7, and the return of the guaranteed Pick-4. Lauded as the best bet at the track, the Pick-4 features nightly guaranteed pools ($50,000 Thursday and Friday, $75,000 on Saturday), a low 15-percent takeout and high return rate. Offered on races six through nine, the Pick-4 pool averaged more than $80,000 per card with an average payoff of $2,000 for a $1 ticket in 2011.

So they remove the rolling pk 3's for a superfecta in every race. Which only a handful you can bet with a dime super.  New format sucks, will lower the handle for sure.

So true, but the handle will still be bigger than any other track in the U.S.  Of course, the purses will not be the biggest.  I can see why players who are mainly pk 4 bettors like the Big M.  I like it because I love the mile track.  I'd rather bet $8,00 claimers ona mile track than $20,000 claimers on a bull ring.  What i don't like is the few days of racing during the year.  I understand they can't compete with the slot tracks for horses to have more days.  Put the damn slots in already.

I just received an email back from the Big M stating that since the pools of the rolling pick 3's had dropped off dramatically, they decided to go to one and to try and build back up the pool and they lowered the take out on it.

The p3 pools have fallen off.

Yes they have, but someone like you, me my brother etc, if we are out of the first leg of the pick 4 what do we do? Play the pick 3. Now we can't. I dabble in the supers but very rarely in the ex and tri's. Maybe I will now but more than likely not
