Jimmy Takter Piece Of Crap
« on: September 06, 2015, 02:46:15 PM »
His entry gets DQ'ed last night in the Yonkers trot, and they should of been by rule, and this is what this ass says today

And what the hell were the Yonkers Judges watching that he had to file an objection. Inquiry should of been put up immediately
    SMH

"That's why we hire judges," he said. "It doesn't bother
me if I get taken down if it is done just by the judges. When
a driver claims foul that's poor sportsmanship. So he just
made $35,000. He needs money more than I do, with the
way his stable is going.".

I saw that Pezz. Pinkman shoulda never got a tuck. Shoulda been parked out. Stablemate conviently lets him in that 1st q. He should be barred from driving when he has more than 1 entry.

That wasn't why they got DQ'ed, when they turned for home, Yannick locked wheels with Trond and caused total confusion to the field.

I don't see how filing an objection is poor sportsmanship.  His comments were poor sportsmanship.

That's exactly what I thought after reading his comment.

I don't mind in the MLB when the umpires want to check on a home run to see if it was fair or foul, but when a team challenges a call I feel it is poor sportsmanship.  Same with the NFL.

I love Takter, but I disagree with him in this case. Some guys whine all the time and file objections and never win the objection. This was a valid objection and it was properly ruled by the judges.

Takter might arguably be the best trainer alive, but he is certainly not humble about his talent. I know one owner who asked him to take a couple of horses to train for him. Takter asked the guy if he thought he could afford to pay Takter's training rates. The man replied, "I could buy and sell you many, many times over." Takter said, "Ok. I'm your guy. I will be happy to train your horses."

I don't think he rapes the owners. He just charges a lot. Billy Haughton used to charge $100 per day way back when. People say Jimmy Takter and Ron Burke are expensive, but the owners actually make a profit, so how expensive are they?

My buddy Cimags told me that Ron Burke is the absolute best trainer he ever had as far as vet bills. He said typically his bill was under $300 per month for Meirs Hanover when he was one of the top horses. Ron Burke told me he HATES giving his owners a big vet bill. There are a lot of guys who charge $2000-$3000 per month to train and then another $3000 vet bill per month. That is where owners get raped.

Makes sense.  Good trainers don't need a vet to do their training for them.
