Meadowlands Pace Night 2015

Race 1: Ontario Success - YG will get him in the right position. Thinking Out Loud, last year's BC champ, is overdue for first win of season but will be overbet.

Race 2: Small but competitive field, don't think Pinkman is a lock. Like #1 to upset but won't take short odds on him.

Race 3: Both the 6 and 7 get big driver upgrades, when in doubt go with YG and the class drop.

Race 4: I'll take Crazy Now if I can get the 8/5 ml

Race 5: I may take a chance on Zeron with Shaded of Bay. Lightly raced but fast. #10 is big danger. Should be a brisk pace.

Race 6: Only 2-3-4 figure. If the bridge jumpers are out on Mission Brief I'll take a chance against

Race 7: YG chose Band of Angels over two others, good enough for me. Orange Crush may sneak onto ticket here at big odds.

Race 8: State Treasurer needs to get early spot, can't win from last. Better value tonight. Wide Open race.

Race 9: Color's A Virgin gets D Miller but may have to pass a lotttt of horses. Katie Said was Brett's choice over #2, kinda surprised.

Race 10: PACE Wanna see you Wiggle it, just a little bit!

Race 11: JL CRUZE sub 150 again? Hard to bet against.

Race 12: #7 Idealbeach Hanover from the clouds.

Race 13: #2 Dapper Dude new driver, back to M1. 8/1 ml seems about right

Race 14:  #9 David's Dream YG one more time.

Track was ridiculously fast last week, but was slightly biased towards closers if they went ludicrous speed.

R1 - 8($),4,9     6,3     1          Never ever liked Michael's Power.
R2 - 3,2      1,6                        Takter duo won't push the pace.
R3 - 8($),5($),6,2      9,3($)   Dancin Hill was loaded late, despite the break.
R4 - 1,2,6    4                          Crazy Wow has been consistent at the highest level.
R5 - 8($),10,7,3     5               Lots of inside speed for Ali to contend with.
R6 - 4,2,3     6($)     8             Mission Brief hasn't been herself.
R7 - 5,9,6,2     1,3($),10        Can't see Band of Angels stealing this one.  Been wrong before.
R8 - 9,5,3($)      6,8    2($)     Big speed coming.
R9 - 4($),11,2,10     7,3,8,5($$)    Hanney to Sears is 3 full seconds, right?
R10 - 4    6,9,3     8,2            Big speed coming.  Somebeachsomewhere was a lock too.  Lol!
R11 - 6,2    1    3($)   4         I think I was more impressed with Cerry's mile  Cruze might get roughed up here.
R12 - 2,6     3                        Welcome back Golden boy.
R13 - 3,4,5     6,2                 Doctor Butch loves this track, trips out.  Expecting the front end to hold up tonight.

150.1 for the mile split was impressive 

Observations:

• Not sure how I wasn't on Odds On Equuleus after his last mile in 47.4, he's one of my favorites. Probably scared off by the orange colors.
• In Race 3 Stimulus Plan opened 5/2, ended up winning at 18/1. Sometimes you have to just throw the form in the garbage and play the tote board.
• Centurion ATM may be my Hambo pick. Looks wide open, Pinkman didn't impress.
• Dragon Eddy - bad ml or just another case of following the money on the tote board?
• Mission Brief disappointed, maybe went too slow and out sprinted.
• Foiled Again only a neck short in 48.1 at age 11. Anyone that says he isn't one of the all-time great is just plain wrong.
• State Treasurer is the best older pacer right now. May have won last night with clear sailing yet still paced home in 25.2 With a decent draw I'm firing on him in the US Pacing Championship.
• Did Androvette really go off at 36/1? Congratulations to the Bamond stable. She's the female version of Foiled Again.
• Wiggle It Jiggleit is a beast. Hope this gelding racing a long long time. I'm rooting for this one ever since that bogus fine at Mohawk for going too slow.
• Father Patrick is toast. Can't wait to see how fast JL Cruze can go later this summer.

Wiggle it is just amazing..  I still don't trust his driver.  Foiled Again has been so good for so long, no doubt he is one of the all time greats.  You keep thinking he can't continue to compete at such a high level, but he does.
