Racism in Baseball
« on: April 30, 2015, 03:14:20 AM »
The broadcasters for the K.C. Royals used the term "Chinese home run" on a foul ball.  The Chinese find this very offensive.  To their credit, they did not March on the stadium and set it ablaze.  Both those guys should be fired.

Firing them would be silly, And idiotic, Its not a racist comment. nothing wrong with some humor tossed in. I saw it and had no problem at all with it. Your sensitivity is foolish

Bill, I think you missed the sarcasm in Hal's post.

On another note, Cubs owner Tom Ricketts apologized for using the therm dago-t in an interview.  He said he didn't mean to offend Italian-Americans.

As an Italian-American myself, i was not at all offended.  If anything, I was offended by the idea that Italians are that sensitive to take offense to the name of a tee shirt.

Am I wrong?  What do you Italians on here think?
