Meadowlands is a joke
« on: July 26, 2014, 07:29:47 PM »
How many races tonight can you get a lack of effort ? Suck Zeron should get days for the lack of effort on these Alagna horses, then u have Alagna tweeting saying how ready and how good his horses are .... Market Share never pulls , Sears could have cared less if he won with Designed To Be... And I didn't even wager tonight , thank god or I might have broke my tv.

That would have been cool if you did break your tv, then tell everyone about it.

Haven't made a bet on any races there in over a month.  It has really become a joke.  Lot of tracks have turned into jokes.  I find myself betting fewer and fewer tracks.

What happened to Anndrovette after the Roses Are Red? Top 9 finishers made the final tonight and she couldn't beat anyone. Somwherovrarainbow has looked terrible too lately. Perfect trip tonight and completely empty.

BTW...Sweet Lou is fun to watch, and that was an awesome performance by Archangel tonight even though Timmy didn't try with Market Share.

PS...27-30 lifetime with trotting hopples on 17-17 last year, 1-6 this year taking them off...I'm just saying.... idunno

A lot of these races were preps or eliminations for next Saturday's races. So gamble at your own risk.

thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup Tim didn't try but I don't think it would have changed the outcome if he did  idunno Sebastian K, I would expect to not have the blinkers next week, I hope Ake don't get tangled up with no one when he pulls out of them tight holes  noway

This is precisely why heat racing is not only a good thing-it is the only right thing to do.  thumbsup

Check out Sweet Lou's race.  A 7 horse field and they finished 7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Weird!

thumbsdown thumbsdown When no one is wagering on the second heat it's not a good thing either.

They hope that racing to win the elim to pick your post has everyone trying, but as soon as you realize you can't win and are making the final anyway what incentive is there to finish any higher...a few extra bucks from the elim purse or save the horse for the final...

What I think is wrong in many cases is the idea of saving something for next week.  What you "save" for next week might be gone when next week comes.   We are not talking about a car and taking gas saving measures.
I often look at a tough trip as a good thing in sharpening a beasts form.  It all depends on the horse.  That is something you can only learn from observation.  You might know a certain horse will not race well after being "gutted"  Others will only be sharper for next week.    I prefer the tough guys as opposed to the wilting flowers when it comes to spending my $$$

Definitely some crazy sh!t.  Archangel in a laugher.  Sebastian K dominated, but looked short.  Zeron getting shuffled to last on heavy fav Dreams Beachboy.  Anndrovette finishing in 26 flat from last and couldn't catch a single mare.  Provenance almost wins at 80-1.

Sweet Lou is a beast!  What's the record for most sub-1:48 miles?

Freaky.  I guess that's how a handicap race should finish.   rflmao1

I think that it's pathetic that they groom the surface to produce these ridiculous miles at this time of year.  Might as well add Sosa and Bonds to the HOF.  Oh wait, Pocono has that covered.
