Soon enough there won't be any trainers left to race there, and Gural will be bitching that he isn't getting the entries that he wants.  nononono

Fraley is 4/51 in 2014 and 8/120 combined the last two years.

Callahan is 2/33 in 2014 and 11/95 the last two years, and Abelard Hanover has won 8 of those in 20 starts.

Alvin Callahan was not even a high percentage guy at Rosecroft.

Really dumb what happened there.

It hurts Rosecroft more than Big M because they had 10 or so horses racing here that you could drop in almost anywhere every week.

Also disposing of needles in the trash is a felony in new jersey.

Marvin was not allowed at RCR before any of this happened though.

It is altogether disappointing. As they are nice people.

Am I the only one starting to think that Gural is the new Hitler of harness racing ?
Should be fun to see what the cards look like once Chester and Pocono open back up.

I've thought that way for awhile.  Jeff knows what is best for everyone whether they like it or not.  The syndicates are good for us, no matter how they manipulate the odds.  I know in sports betting the really big bettors have contacts on the inside to get info not available to the general public.  I would think the same is true in any form of racing. To little fish swimming in the big pool, I say beware of the sharks.

I find it interesting he sent investigators to follow the Callahans who are really small potatos.

Although all cheating is bad. Not saying it isn't.

The big name guys seem to never get caught.

With just the sheer number of horses the super trainers have you would think an accidental giving of a medication to close to race time or something like that might happen.

The investigators were tipped off of juicing at the rest stop.   They put a man there to watch in comes Alvin.   He enters trailer, exits trailer, tosses trash and heads to the track.

Once there he was confronted, admited what he did and went home.

Now was the tip against Alvin or did he just happen to also use that spot?

The real hero here is whomever tipped off Brice Cote.

No one ever said horseman are always brilliant.

Was a very stupid move and whatever punishment happens I wont say a word about.

It is another small time trainer out of the game though.

so more money for the super trainers and big stables.

Hey I am all for cleaning up racing.   He is very fair, just don't cheat.
I fail to see how this is anything like a brutal dictator and mass murderer.
If you knew the whole story you might think different
