Big M Saturday

Are they racing tonight?

Saw a forecast for 2-4 inches of snow and lousy conditions, so any local analysis would help.

Thanks Cashman.  Here's my first thoughts, let the debate begin:

Race 1 Damon Blue Chip is the most consistent but Late Night Joke might offer the better value with Tetrick. Think Diablo Seelster was a good claim and post 10 only helps the price. Andy Baran looks good on paper but can J.B. get him home?

Race 2 Rock Fame raced well against a tough repeat winner.  Looks like a Miller exacta with Mister Accumulator.  Curious if Callahan will gun Crew Dream from the 10 hole or give him a race - Lewis barn has been good all meet.

Race 3 Rocknroll Jewel looks like chalk and the one to beat. Western Trademark comes off a big race and Andy has done well with him in the past over this track.  Of course, this race is bottom of the barrel which means Mega Lightning has the back class to upset.  Chased a very fast winner but has McCarthy won a race here yet?

Race 4 Grab Your Keys has back class but is a tepid morning line choice. Redneck Outlaw is gonna get a better trip with the rail and Trend Spotter looks like a contender with his speed.  Crazy enough race where Atlas Alliance might figure in the exotics if he has better position.

Race 5 Bettors Glass should get the job done and catch Panesthetic.  Cobalt Man is going be tighter after that needed last start and is a factor with speed and the rail.

Race 6 Dial or Nodial is the class but can't remember the last time he won 2 in a row here. Great first start for Emeritus Maximus and his new barn, and should be rewarded with a similiar effort. Here We Go Again certainly fits at this level with Tetrick and he's overdue for a win.

Race 7 One can make a case for Thunder Steeler, Dreamlands Art and even Freddy Hanover, but tell me why Up Up and Out can't win from the outside?  Or why is Willy Mucha 20-1 in the ML?

Race 8 You have to love the driver switch from Lachance to Tetrick with Pronology Z Tam and he won't be 15-1 on the board. But sometimes horses forget how to win and it's his first PM race in two months. UF Rockin Dragon had two big races before the layoff and this field looks ripe.

Race 9 Burkentine Hanover remains very sharp.  Loses Campbell but it's Tetrick's race to lose. Berkshire Bear guarantees an interesting race and Americhi is a contender at this level

Race 10 With the added distance and 12 horse field, the dart board theory should be considered. But based off that last race and the huge driver change to Callahan, Yes Your Mattjesty could be a logical choice. Lettherockbegin offers $$ value, especially if JB can get him to the front early without killer fractions. Much better up front and past due for a win.

Race 11 Abelhard Hanover is getting better and you can make a case for Cam B Zipper. But I like the Tetrick brothers' chances. Blantantly Good gets class relief and Tim will have him in the right spot. Erle Dale was overmatched at Yonkers and Cassar has him in perhaps his best spot in a while.

Race 12 Rock The Wind is the one to beat, but this is a C-1 race. Tetrick gets a consistent horse with Due West Hanover, and throw out the last race and Stallone Blue Chip belongs here. Bolero Andrew turned things around last time and That's Justice will rally late.  The question here is what about #10 I Fought Dalaw?  Just turned 5, already has over $400k in the bank and had no chance against Panesthetic last week in a start he needed over the track.

Race 13  He won't be 1-9 like Capitol Account was last week, but Dinner At The Met should extend his win streak with everyone else racing for second money.
