The Meadows is racing today as scheduled, but they have already canceled Tuesday's card due to impending cold weather in the forecast. Wtf? ???

I never believed a weatherman in my life that much.  slaphead idunno

They are calling for a HIGH temperature of -13 here in Chicago on Monday.  thumbsdown

Schools are already telling students they will be closed Monday. Even if the weatherman is off by 6 or 8 degrees it will still be too friggin cold to do anything.

Probably a good call by the folks at The Meadows.

In 1993 the week of MLK day we had some -20's that cancelled school Tuesday-Thursday.  It was the end of the 2nd quarter so that messed things up a bit.
