Woodbine Thursday Night Selections
« on: November 14, 2013, 05:07:21 PM »
Missed the first couple of races, here's what I like the rest of the card:

3- Juliet. Lots of garbage in here, but when she's right, she's fast.

4- St Lads Zena. Driver change to Filion is okay by me, and she's facing a bit lighter competition.

5- Miss Poppycock. Raced big from the 10 hole last start and faded down the lane. She gets big time post relief and Jamieson stays aboard.

6- Aquanilla. Should be a long shot in here, but Oullette hasn't been driving much or been very aggressive in the last year.... Except on this one, and the horse has responded well. Might get a nice price?

7- Akoya. How do you bet against Corey Johnson right now? He's batting almost .400 and this horse figures in this class. Plus Jamieson drives so you know he'll either be on the engine or in the two hole. Play with the 1 horse in Exactors.

8- DG's Pesquero. Has been racing well for Jackie Mo, came home in a sharp 27 second quarter last start. I think she'll get a better trip  this time and can be there for the minor upset. Box with Machynbyrd Princess.

9- Catch the Dream. He'll be coming from off the pace, but that's the way Zeron likes to drive them... I just hope he spots him close and not fourth over as he is sometimes prone to do....

10- Stonebridge Mystic. McNair's team up in what looks to be a weak field.

11- Putmeintogo. I'm not a fan of Roger "Sleepy" Mayotte. But when he puts one on the engine, you better look out, because he is likely going right down the road. This colt looked good last start and I can see him repeating against a slightly tougher bunch.

12- Shock N Rock. Has been second the last 3 starts, but should win here tonight.

Good luck to all playing!

I hope you guys are doing better than I am at this point....

No idea what Oullette was doing there in the last race with Aquanilla, gets away far back and is fourth over, only to come ultra wide down the lane, gaining ground but too far back to win.... Finished fourth I believe but yet another bad steer from Oullette. This guy's talent level has certainly plummeted in the past decade, it's hard to believe he used to be a leading driver. I don't know if I've ever seen such an erosion of skills with age.
