Not surprising. They kept threatening to close for years, which was only put off by the real estate bubble burst.

More Dates for Santa Anita and Del Mar. Now Del Mar has to get rid of their Ploy Crap, widen the turf and get the breeders Cup

Hell, I was almost arrested for smoking on the streets of La Jolla, didn't know it was against the law there.
