Why is the Simpson stake a non betting race? They got 6 entries. Don't think I've ever seen this at the Big M.

I think there is common ownership with the Holloway horses  ,which create only 5 betting interests thus no wagering.

They ran the second division of the Aquarius with only 5 horses entered and it wasn't a non wagering race.

Actually that was my original thinking but saw the Gerwetz entry and thought otherwise. The exacta of SWOAR and Bestbestingin would have killed them..

Well we Montrell can't gomwith the big boys. A very even 3rd. Lots of hype for this horse. Need a real driver though.

the way i understand it was because the gerwhert(?) guy owned a piece of 4 of them
