WEG Raises Early Pick 4 Guarantee

On Monday, April 8 the Woodbine Entertainment Group announced the early Pick-4 wager on its live standardbred racing cards will now carry a guaranteed pool of $75,000, beginning this Thursday, April 11.

WEG had been offering a nightly guarantee of $50,000 on the early Pick-4, which asks players to pick the winners of four straight races on one ticket.

“The wager has been popular among fans and it continues to gain momentum,” said Greg Martin, director of WEG’s wagering operations. “We’re encouraged by the customer interest and expect with this incentive the Pick-4 pool will continue to grow.”

Woodbine continues its spring meet through May 20, racing four nights a week (Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday). First-race post times are set for 7:25 p.m.

I was up at Woodbine 2  weeks ago. Wow what a difference. Nobody was there, Last time I was there , it was wall to wall people. But that was years ago

I avoid those pick 4s but I guess this is good for those who play it.  Some fella on another site is pretty good at them at the Chicago tracks.

I'll be in Ontario in May and probably stop in at Western Fair. Nice small track. i recoomend it to all

I'm sure if other tracks copied WEG and had 20 cent picks, they would do better.  As most know., I'm not a big pick anything player, but when I play WEG I can't resist!  It's a great ploy to avoid filling out those damn tax forms.

 I wish all tracks had 20 centers now too.. Play some there and you can get away with $30.00 bucks and then move back to The Meadowlands and its a $150.00    I know same scale but I am not betting $150.00 nor scaling back to 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 on a pick 4 because that wont work either..
