The "big guy" I'm happy to say isn't quite as "big" anymore.  If you  get Hoofbeats and save them, page 11 in the Youthbeats section of the December issue says it all and expresses my feelings toward the amateur driving.  Lets just say this- I still have a valid current "P" license in my pocket.  Nice to know some remember me.  Never was much of a driver and most of the drives were behind cheap claimers though I did get to drive a nice bit aging old class horse one night at Northfield thanks to Kurt Sugg.  Damn near won at 17-1 from the outside...cut the mile, finished 3rd beaten just 2 lengths.  Helluva thrill.  I like to never say never but without some practice and a horse to drive it would appear my colors will remain in mothballs.  At least the memories remain.

Got caught violating the terms of his probation...truly stupid to do but truth is he'd been violating it  almost from its onset.  It was no secret.  So, now he got a Two-year suspension.  Ouch.

Wow, its only a month away. I rememember Kyle winning last years edition like it was yesterday. Dale, hope all the planning goes well. Im sure you are going out of your mind dealing with all the details. Good luck. Where do you normally order your blankets from ? And are you happy with their service ? Let us know how the planning is coming along. And best of luck. Your dad would be proud of  how you have kept his memory  alive.

Good to hear that Dale. Im guessing you cannot go wrong with Dick Siegel at the tack shop. I recall the race being very late in the card last year. Possibly even the last race on the card if memory serves correct. Im hoping they'll change that. Seems to me the race in your dad's honor would be better suited in the middle of the card. Just a thought, and hopefully they'll do the prudent thing this time around

Dale, on another note, I see for some reason that trash site has singled me out for no apparent reason and there were some sickening posts directed my way today including a picture --somewhat baffling because thats a picture I dont recall ever seeing. Why do they pick on an older guy like myself. I think I made two posts there last year. I know you had some issues there last year which I read about on another forum. What is the deal with that place and do they just attack anybody? I have no gripe with anybody there as far as I know.
Any thoughts ?

Baseball is on the way, and I know thats a passion of yours , and I guess I'll just suffer with our Cubs one more time. They dont have much of anything this year.
