Tiger might win two majors this year. I think he is back-all the way back.  4pezz2

Had he not lost his focus today he might have won this one by 10 strokes.
When will the USGA begin policing and penalizing players like those in the group ahead of Woods ?
Feherety said that while the offending group (Molinero, et. al.)was on the 17th tee the group ahead of them had finished the 18th and was in the clubhouse.
Inexcuseable !!

Welcome back Ira.  I'd say the odds are 50/50 he will win a major.  He will never dominate like he did at one time, but he is still pretrty damn good.  When I picked up an odds sheet at a Vegas sportsbook, I think they had him as the favorite for the Masters.  He has done well there.  That would be his best chance to win a major.

Tiger's finish does not instill confidence - for him, either.  I do think he can win a major this year - the US Open is being held on the pitch & putt known as Merion which will not require too many drivers.  The potential at Augusta is always there & his short game was brilliant at Torrey.  I'm not crazy about the PGA venue for Tiger's chances (Oak Hill).

I believe Phil is pretty much toast.  That's not to say that he can't put it together for one week but that arthritic condition that he has is debilitating at this level.  His only real major chance is The Masters but this is an odd year (he won in '04, '06 & '10).

Highly doubtful. Nowhere the same ability.Jack's record is quite safe.  A good thing . Tiger had a real good shot to beat it it, but we all know the rest. Sad.

Welcome back Ira. Been too long. Hoping to get together soon. Dont let all that crap on the ohter forums get to you. Consider the source      bowdown

Wil he win a major this year?  I don't think so - too many hot young guns on the rise.   Perhaps another question might be, "Do you WANT him to win another major - at any time?"

Just looking at your post & knowing that there is a report of a possible remarriage for Tiger & Elin, if she can find a way to forgive him for his moral errors, how holy must an esteemed poster be to not forgive someone who never did anything illegal?

I had no idea I was conversing with so many righteous people & how come I rarely seem to find these righteous people at racetracks?

Anyway, heathen that I am, I hope he wins many more.

Certainly food for thought. I can assure you I dont want to see Ray Lewis win anything. I have no opinion on the game , but he is he deciding factor in me becoming a Niners fan Sunday,
And the same would hold true fot Tiger. And I surely agree the competition is a lot better than it was when he was at his best.
I would say its unlikely he'll consistently compete as was the case last year.

Good post Dale
