Dirty spill in the preferred pace, wiped out half the field in a horrible pile up. I'll update as I find out more.

In Commando with James MacDonald was coming first up down the backside and ended up taking some bad steps than just dropped like he was shot. I missed who was following but I think it was Doug McNair on Hard to Mach and he smoked MacDonald and the rest of the followers all piled in and horses went down. The other horses and drivers involved were Rick Zeron/Anderlecht, and Billy Davis/High Def Z Tam. Davis may have avoided going down, I couldn't tell... Looked really bad for MacDonald. James is Mark's brother who has been involved in some terrible wrecks himself.

McNair has Booked off his remaining drives for the night, Zeron and Davis are up and walking around. James MacDonald is being attended to by Medics and is on his way to the hospital according to Ken Middleton.

Four-horse spill mars Woodbine's ninth race
Saturday, January 12, 2013 - by Ashley Mayotte, for the Woodbine Entertainment Group
Rexdale, ON --- There was a four-horse spill in the ninth race on Saturday night at Woodbine.
In Commando, driven by James MacDonald, was tipped off cover and advancing first-up in the backstretch when the gelding fell. Hard To Mach (Doug McNair), High Def Z Tam (Billy Davis Jr.) and Anderlecht (Rick Zeron) were unable to avoid the fallen horse, unseating their respective drivers.
MacDonald was taken to hospital with a suspected ankle injury. Davis, McNair and Zeron were able to walk off the track under their own power. McNair booked off his remaining drives.
High Def Z Tam had to be euthanized. In Commando, Hard To Mach and Anderlecht appeared to escape serious injury.

I am so glad the drivers escaped dangerous injury. I am deeply saddened for the passing of High Def Z Tam. RIP High Def.
