Did you ever just have one of those nights?

Last night my Bride & I were watching a dvd movie and something 'whoomped' into the side of our house. She asked if I thought it was a bat, and I said probably so. Then came several more. Luckily all missed the windows of our 112 yr old vintage house. All were snowballs. So I put on clothes and stormed out of the house to chase 3 middle-school aged girls through our little town. I saw two young'uns run into a garage a block south of me. Instead of going into the backyard of the house I went to the front door and beat on it hard enough that it couldn't be ignored. The Dad came to to the door to greet me dressed in some underoos looking jammies and asked me about my problem. He said to give him enough time to put some non-rediculous looking clothes on and we'd figure it out. We went back to his garage where his wife and daughter were watching a movie in his 'man cave'. I was obviously at the wrong place. He is a recently returned two-stretch veteran back from Afghanistan and president of our Community Improvement Assoc.(who could have easily kicked my ass) 

About 20 minutes later he was parked in front of my house talking to my Bride. Seems the three geniuses went by his house and pulled some shit. He got them cornered and got their names and addresses, and told them that one other problem from them would involve the sheriff's office. period.

He also added that JS is not nearly as reasonable about messing with his family or property, so it would be very smart to keep their asses away from that place. 25/30 years in this burg and never had any trouble with other residents. But sometimes you just get forced into being an a-hole. If forced, I can easily assume the a-hole role. I just wanted to enjoy a movie.

I had a problem with a neighbor and decided to put an end to it and put up exterior cameras. The cameras clearly identified the perpetrator and I asked them to cease and desist politely.

I'm also done being polite.

I hear you brother!  Although I am a tad better this AM.   JS, if all you have to worry about is a bunch of punk teenie gals throwing snowballs you are blessed.  About 10 days ago  a woman was beaten to dearh in her front yard with a steel weight lifting bar, in front of her kids less than a mile from my place.   Her husband said he was doing Allah's will.

I have a .40 cal Glock that would have saved her life. But am smart enoough not to use it to chase little teenage girls. (Although 3 of them coulda probably kicked my ass)

I'd shoot him and Allah both in the ass before I'd let them beat that woman to death.

I have a God Daughter who is black. She has a perfect 4.0 grade average (with honors) in a very prestigious college. She is fluent in Japanese. And she just turned 18 years old. (was in college at 16) She had no more choice about her skin color than I did, but boy did she outshine her "Uncle JS". I still relish the times when she wanted to sit on my lap and have me read books to her when she was just a kiddo. Racism is just a stupid waste of time for small minded people. Feel free to quote this old honkey on this one.

I've never understood it...........and my family is so lily white they glow.........went to high school with one black kid.............superiority over another sickens me............though I do think St Calvin is often an idiot.
