Obama Flies Back to Hawaii After Warning GOP on Spending
Wednesday, 02 Jan 2013 12:19 AM

By Newsmax Wires

President Barack Obama departed the White House on Tuesday to resume his Hawaii vacation about an hour after Congress approved legislation that raises taxes on the wealthiest Americans and avoids the fiscal cliff of tax increases and spending cuts.

The president left the White House shortly before midnight. He had cut his vacation short on Wednesday to oversee negotiation of a deal before a year-end deadline.

Before he left to rejoin First Lady Michelle Obama and their two daughters, Obama took the time to warn Republicans to avoid a repeat of last year's divisive fight with Congress over an extension of the nation's borrowing authority.

"While I will negotiate over many things, I will not have another debate with this Congress about whether or not they should pay the bills they have already racked up," Obama said in remarks in the White House.

He urged "a little less drama" in coming budget talks about cutting government spending.

I really do not have a problem with people who earn over $400,000 paying slightly higher taxes, nor do I have a problem with Social Security taxes going back to where they should have been in the first place. That was blatantly ignorant to lower the withholding on SS anyway because the damned system was going broke in the first place at the levels they were withholding!

What I do have a major, major problem with is the deficit. F**king idiots running this country!

My question is, what did they do with the money?  You pay 6.2% of your income on the the first $110,000 you make .  That is matched by your employer for a total of 12.4% of your income.  Anyone should realize your bennifits should be a hell of a lot better when you retire than they are now.  Easily, they should be 2-3 tinmes as much as you get.  Fact is, the rest of the money was stolen by idiotic spoending by the Feds.   But, when anyone tries to reform the system, they are accused of trying to take your benefits away  NO!  The current system is stealing your benefits and keeping many seniors living near poverty levels.  This is not the fault of the "rich"  It's your elected officials who are to blame.

You can raise taxes as much as you want, but with no restraints on spending, tax hikes will not solve a damn thing.  Evwryone should know that the 2% the middle class is paying will raise far, far more revenue than any increase in the tax rate of the "rich"  Don't worry though.  WW3 will pull us out of the coming depression and the few who are left will be better off.
