A-B-C: Isn't that how they classify greyhounds???
Balmoral handles good money because of 3 things 1 - it's a mile track 2 - because their signal is everywhere (look at Northfield) 3 - they race when very few tracks do (wed) (sun) Balmoral has a terrible product !! terrible horses and terrible drivers !! Balmoral has the most inconsistent racing there is = big payouts , they have lame horses racing each week that never race back to the same form they raced the week before .And you have drivers that you have guess who's trying from week to week (Widger) (Miller) (Oosting) those 3 drivers could never pull the shit that they do at another racetrack without getting thrown out.
I have never made any bones about the fact that I'm not a gambler, but I'm smart enough to know that if every horse & every driver raced to form every start, the payoffs would be nothing. It would cease to be gambling. The REAL gamblers are the ones who figure out when, who, and how much to bet. JMO
If I'm an owner or trainer , I would want to put my horses where I think they belongjust sayin'
I see that Ira Smolin the father of Bobby Smolin had the only pick 5 ticket at Balmoral Weds night and now Balmoral has the ticket on hold I watched the only race Bobby was in and it didn't look like anything funny went on in the race but i see that some people disagree. My question is how does Balmoral have the right to put a hold on the ticket unless they feel that something funny went on in the pick 5 .Nice racetrack !! It's bad enough everybody already thinks they cheat at Balmoral and now this .
If you live or race in Illinois you quickly become accustomed to the crap that is dominant at the Chicago tracks and sooner or later throw your hands in the air and look elsewhere if you wish continue in the game. Corruption is the prevailing mentallity not only at the harness tracks but throughout the city and state gevernments. It's something you live with if you live in or near Crook County and it's monster money sucking crew in Chicago.
