Packers vs Bears
« on: December 16, 2012, 06:39:13 AM »
hard to believe about 30 yrs ago  it was freezing with snow and ice covering the steps and some seats while we were at soldier field for a late dec packer bear game

weather should not be a factor today but the health of both teams will be
packers get at least matthews back while the bears pick up olindo (?) mare   almost busted a gut when i heard his name again  rflmao1 rflmao1

anyways this could get ugly real quick today and i am betting it goes the packers way !

good to all !

old and slow

Agree Tross, Bears lose today, win next week at Arizona, and lose to Detroit on the road. They finish 9-7 and miss the playoffs.

nope missed that one but the bad news was it cost me money
until that game a i had a running $2 a pt bet with my brother
 4pezz2 4pezz2

i do believe the game in question was in 83 with the stadium about 1/2 empty and the bears winning and costing the pack a playoff spot
lot of good memories in old soldier field
plenty of packer bear games and a pink floyd concert i will never forget
the hardest ticket to get off a scalper outside the stadium was the monday nite game where the fridge scored a td vs the pack

i think this yr mccarthy has done his best coaching job yet
he has had a plan and stuck with it

it has been a tough yr biting my tongue with some of his moves along the way with kelley for the irish  rflmao1 rflmao1
but both are right there

I raced a horse at Hawthorne Park the day of the infamous Bears 'Fog Bowl'. Thankfully I finished 2nd, but it was a multi-hour creep through fog. 250 mile roundtrip through fog is worse than an ass whipping.

What on earth was McCarthy thinking with that trick play on the PR? It is not as if GB was the team that is losing 21-10...

gotta agree i practically choked on my .55 whopper
add in the ryan fumble and 2 missed fgs and the game appeared much closer than it really was
when you cannot score with 1st and goal at the 4 yd line at home you have serious issues

Well THIS Bears fan is now a Packers fan.   I've seen enough.   Can't take much more of this.   Bears after a 7-1 start, falling apart when it really counts......White Sox after looking as though they were headed to the playoffs after winning the division saw their wheels fall off.....Cubs, well, they're the Cubs, enough said......Bulls so far have looked very mediocre..... Blackhawks are still on 'vacation'.....Chicago sports, gggrrrrrrrrrrrr  At least we have 'major league' harness racing where Everything Goes Right, right?

Anyone who makes a statement like this wasn't ever a "real fan" to begin with. Well now that Bears are no good, I will now root for their biggest rival because they are good.  thumbsdown thumbsdown

My older brother is a Packers fan & and the younger brother is a Bears fan. So I could just watch yesterdays game and enjoy the athleticism, or lack thereof sometimes. Been a tough year for us Dallas fans.

Bears need a o line that can keep d players out of the backfield for at least a few seconds. Aaron Rogers can throw bullets with precision. Cutler has someone in his face at all times. Makes it hard to tell just how good he is.

cutler is now in my tony romo  category
i am just not sure how good he is and why denver let go of him at such an early stage in his career
obviously he has an arm but something is missing imo
despite jerry jones saying how good romo is i just do not see it and time is running out for him imo
now i see the same with cutler
