BC Supplemental Entries

Those planning to supplement horses to the BC must do so by Monday at noon.

Some of those not eligible are:

Michaels Power (Jug)
Dynamic Youth (Cane)
Darena Hanover (Jugette)

Those three can buy in for $62,500.

Rebeka Bayama can buy her way into the Mare Pace for $37,500.

The following are some of the two-year-olds not staked to the BC. There is no buy in for them:

Odds On Equuleus

Doctor Butch, who won the NYSS final and dominated his class.

Summertime Lea, who also won the Final and dominated her class.

Dovuto Hanover, the Dragon Again gelding that beat Dedi

Michaels Power has to buy in - no ifs, ands or butts!  If he wins it he wins divisional honors.  No brainer there.

The Burke stable has Destinys Chance and Bettor B Lucky eligible to the 3-year-old filly pace. The latter won the EBC as well as a heat of the Jugette

According to a Bill Finley piece in Harness Racing Update, Jeff Snyder and Casie Coleman are still mulling over whether or not to supplement Michaels Power to the BC. The others would have to fall flat for MP to win the division off of an OSS Super Gold Final win/a win in the Matron.

I hate to ask this question but is the BC detention barn a factor in a Casie Coleman decision?  That is, are the rules more stringent than for other stakes races?

I cannot possibly imagine a valid reason for not putting up $62,500 for a horse, allegedly, of this caliber.

Needy had to fire from where he was yesterday, just couldn't make front and there was no two hole, so he got stuck first over against a nice colt. The top 3 all raced well, I honestly don't think there is much between Micheals Power and Needy right now.
