If Green Bay played a good game it wouldn't have came down to a hail Mary.

That is not the point AMY! They played well enough to win, and they got robbed.

On a radio show I heard today it was pointed out the replay official was not a "replacement" ref.

Correct, they are separate from the on field officials. When the on field official goes under the hood, HE makes the final decision, not the replay official. All the replay official can do for the replacements ref's is try to guide them. He has no decision making on the play

learn the game unknown
pretty much everyone knew the score and the rules except you

the defensive team cannot score on a blocked / failed extra pt attempt  /  have you ever seen it happen ?

in the future learn the game and the rules laddie before making comments that make you look like an arsehole in the end

The division 1 referees will not do it. That is why you have what you have now.

I'm talking about permanent jobs--not temporary--as in busting the union.

NFL's most obvious admission: The lockout/strike is over.  They're scrambling, trying to get the "real" officials back on the field this week.

Side note: Phil Luckett was the Replay Official, overseeing the calls and said he "didn't see enough to convince" him to change the ruling Monday night.  Same Phil Luckett who is credited with calling a non-touchdown by Vinnie Testaverde, a touchdown which brought back Replays.  Also same Luckett who heard Jerome Bettis incorrectly on a coin toss which led the Lions to victory over the Steelers & eventually led league to call "heads or tails" in advance.
