Bolt the duer will not race in the final.

We knew that two weeks ago. Foley should be barred from Delaware Ohio in the future. A-hole.

DId you see the guy running around with the "Bolt" attire?  If he was more than a fan of the horse, it was a pretty ridiculous show, knowing you weren't going to go the long haul...........and I'm The Queen of embarrassments.

Bruce Phillian, aka The Bunny Guy, has been doing that for years. Dressed up in a bunny suit for Precious Bunny, as an Arab Sheik for Riyadh, etc. Drivers would autograph the costumes. He became good friends with Pete Heffering and got us in on Pacific Rocket's World record mile photo on Adios Day at The Meadows. Folks thought we were the owners and two scribes started interviewing us.

We were told the same thing yesterday. Shocking! If he was my horse, he would have raced and hopefully raced again.

It takes a great horse to win the Jug, and he is no great horse in my opinion. Not a bad horse, just not a great horse.

For those who weren't there:

This is a big guy. He was wearing a pretty long pair of shorts, a giant T-shirt with sleeves cut off in wife-beater fashion, and a white hard plastic construction helmet with a giant silver plastic threaded bolt glued upright to the top of it. The front of the helmet read "Bolt The Duer". The white shirt was covered in autographs. He was quite a spectacle.

It was fun watching him have fun.
