Delaware, OH--Sweet Lou,  reigning 2-year-old colt pacing champion, has not quite lived up to the expectations this season of his trainer, Ron Burke.

Going into this season, I thought he would dominate. ( Him And Needy) Boy was I wrong. This will be my last time i will pick him to win ( With the rail). No Excuses

He has just not been as good as everyone thought. I hope he wins, but would be shocked if he did at this point.

still question the 1:49 training mile at the Meds.......

Palone after the elimination said he was all done --- since then he has raced like he is all done..... But he has hundreds of horses and I type on a computer-- what do I know ?

Once some of them get real sick, sometimes they never come back till the next year. The thing with Burke horses, the good ones become great ones the older they get. Hopefully that is the case here.

Have to agree with you there. But hey, he trains world champions and I don't. Totally different universe than I've ever traveled in. Sweet Lou has been a nice colt, I wish him well.
