Letting the winners of the slims pick their post makes them even heavier favorites.

I do think Storman Normand offers tremendous value Especially if he goes off 15-1 or higher.

Gillis and Jamieson chose first for Knows Nothing, followed by Toscano and Tetrick for Market Share. Takter then took the rail for Uncle Peter.

Generally the trainer or driver will say, "we'll talk it over" when asked what post they'd like--not Takter. With Pierce standing next to him, he said he wasn't sure; he'd have to think about it. I don't think he cares what post Pierce prefers.

Guccio, who has a lot of talent but just one 2012 win to show for it, gets stuck with his trainer in the bike again.

They must have figured out beforehand that they wanted the best horses outside of them if possible. 

With Pierce driving in a race over $1,000,000 purse, the horse will most likely win no matter the post. Mr. Money is the man on when the $$$ are down.

I once asked Mr. Pierce why this is and he simply said, "Because I need the money worse than the other guys." I love Ron Pierce!

Gym Tan Laundry has had five different drivers in his last six starts. Brennan drove him to a third place finish last week so he gets him in the final.

Brennan, who swept the Hambo and Oaks last year with 6/1 Broad Bahn and 24/1 Bold And Fresh, has two 30/1 shots going this year
