Really nice to see Ohio's horsemen sticking together and helping each other out.
Actually I think they are........much ta-do is being made about nothing..........upper class horses are not going to have much trouble getting in to Scioto........bottom, class of course............there has been close to 250 horses in the box each draw........if you are trying to ship a cheaper horse two hours down the road to race for $3000 you are getting in ever other week at best and in essence racing for $1500......you might as well stay home and save the expense.
Each track has in their contracts provisions for the race secretaries to refuse entries when classes are full........it's just rarely if ever been used at Northfield, which is another argument at times entirely.............where I had a problem was the whole "track committee" approval idea...........NO ONE likes the Meadows situation and frankly to me it smelled similar.
If the race secretary has power to limit entries then that is all the farther it need go...........this mini-civil war need never to occurred.
