rflmao1 rflmao1  If you read the letter I posted yesterday here, the OSRC had prevented the horse from being entered due to the misinformation that has been spewed all over the place. Now the Ohio Racing Commission has had vets look at the horse, the owner has had the horse xrayed umpteen times by different vets, and the OSRC has now cleared the horse to race, based upon the recommendations from all of these veterinarians.

The fact is, this horse has not been classified "Pleasure Only" by the USTA. Ms. Wiener attempted to after she learned the horse had qualified, or just before he qualified, but according to the registrar at the USTA, then it was too late.

The fact is, had she done this in the first place before she gave the horse away, the horse can never be taken off the "Pleasure Only" classification.

I have all of the pertinent and independent facts, not from Ms. Wiener, not from Marvin Raber, but from the USTA, the OSRC, Batavia Downs, Standardbred Canada, and one of the owners of the Mt. Hope Livestock Auction.

The rest of the stuff really does not matter. I know what the law in Ohio is and I know the horse is cleared to race in all of Ohio. I know the registration says Marvin Raber owns the horse. I only hope I get to meet Mr. Raber, shake his hand, thank him for saving this horse's life, and maybe even sit behind this horse in a training mile in September so I can personally attest to his soundness.

I used to walk/run between five and seven miles at least 4 days per week. I'd give my left nut to be able to do that again. I love running, and at the present time I cannot do this, but I am trying to be able to do it again. I would do anything to be able to run even a ten minute mile again. Running is in my soul.

You see I have a shattered leg that was not only screwed together, it was glued together as well. There is a fourteen inch titanium rod in the leg. I also need a new knee. On the same leg, I had a broken hip in two places, and I have sciatica the entire way down my leg to my foot. I broke seven vertebrae, four ribs, and suffered a traumatic brain injury, a lung contusion, and a spinal cord injury. Guess what? I can run if necessary. Not fast, not far, but I can run. I know this because I ran on a treadmill. Oh yes, I am 55 years old and weighed 279 pounds this morning.

No I am not in race shape and will likely never be, but if I can run even a little with all of my injuries, there is no reason that a horse that was bred to race cannot race with a pesky little broken p3 that has had completely healed....and hurting someone's pride is not a valid reason.

I truly speak for the horse. I know he would rather race than pull a plow or a buggy, or be slaughtered.

3W,
I know you are very sincere about all this and I admire your passion in advocating that horses get the best possible care.
I think we all do.
But many of the simple facts in thsi matter have been completely either messed up accidentally or lied about on purpose just so certain individuals don't appear to be wrong.
(Those types are never wrong)
I guess my initial question is why did the original owner get rid of the horse to begin with?
If she cared so much about the animal, she should have kept it.
Lots of misinformation about why the horse was scratched etc;
Giss who is totally credible to me posted the facts about the scratch.
The scratch had nothing whatsoever to do with Raber but with the racing 30 and 45 day rules at each state involved.
Now a good friend has told me that on plop your compadre on all this, the dishonest and reprehensible javelina is calling for violence to come down on Raber. Disgusting but typical of this loser.
My suggestion is to get as many facts as you can from credible sources and go form there.
I see people are calling the Zainesville office to complain about the entry.
Well sorry to say but I've been in contact withseveral other posters from varios forums who are doing the same thing but telling the racing office that the horse should race.

As for your treatment here, I think a few are totally out of line and I'm surprised such vicious vulgarity is allowed.
That is totally wrong.
When posters can't argue and discuss facts, they get personal.
They are losers. Never really seen that kind of poster allowed here for any length of time.
I know you're a good guy with a determined mind and heart.
But I say it pays to know the whole story before going off with half the story and urging action.
To be associated with the certain poster who is calling Raber a thief etc; is to risk your own good reputation.
Take care and good luck.
Burton, I have more respect for you than you could possibly imagine. Was I wrong with what I posted? ABSOLUTELY! Someone needed to give those clowns a taste of their own medicine. The lies that they are force feeding down everybodies throat is sickening.

The even more unbelievable fact is that you have 3WW championing the cause of the same ass clowns who tortured him on horseplop. You think he would get it by now.

The whole GSAC phrase I have been using was coined by you know who and I just thought I would throw that back at them.

My actions were reprehensible and I am sorry. Sometimes you need to fight fire with fire.

I still want to know why everybody is overlooking the facts of who the horse first went to and what that person did with the animal.

Although I am sorry for my behavior, I will not appollogize to 3WW, he is spouting off 1/2 cocked with 1/2 of the facts and could do irreverseable damage to a man's honor and career based on a few ignorant postings of a few ignorant posters.

For the record while I don't always agree with 3 Wide, he's always been a gentleman and in my opinion a good person doing what he feels is best.

Ditto. Have had the opp to meet him in person a few times. We disagree on this, but can discuss our differences respectfully without name calling.

We are done with this. Four Starz Valley has been declared in condition to race by the OSRC. I wish his owner Marvin Raber the very best of luck. To anyone donating a horse, please do so properly to avoid this kind of situation. The idiots who are trying to prevent the man from racing his horse need to go catch a case of the crabs and then go get a life. With morons like this on the loose, it is no wonder Obama is our president.
