When you trade in a car for a new one, do you get to tell the dealership who they can sell it to and what they can use it for?

If I retain the registration and you give me money for the car is it still my car if you dont get the registration?

If I take my neighbors car and sell it to you without a registration do you own it?

Apparently the Cali owner says she gave to a place where the horse would be used as "pleasure" horse. she retained the registration with the thought that it would protect her and the horse from this happening.

Anywho.
This is going on at a few forums now and not accomplishing a whole bunch.

If the cali owner ( who still holds the horses racing credentials) wants to make a fuss I suggest she does it with the USTA or through other outlets such as media.

Rehashing it here over and over isnt going to do much.

So what part of "the previous owner didn't want to nurse the horse back to health,therefore dumped the horse and is now pissed off because the horse made it back to the track, don't you understand?
And then, through utter jesalousy, the previous owner informs the USTA that said horse is to be used for "pleasure only",(after the horse makes it back)

Also making horsemen, owners aware  of how the integrity of the Standardbred registry can be manipulated frudulently to "skew a horse owner or buyer or investor" That the same thing can happen to them !

Getting the horse to the races and her trainer couldnt? Have you seriously bumped your head ? Have you seen the pathetic purses Northfield races for just like Calexpos pathetic and you think for one minute its about egos and money?

No Fuzzy, I also talked to the USTA. I actually know the true facts of the case, and I know the law in Ohio. You see I was born and raised 8 miles from where Marvin Raber lives, and I have bought and sold Amish horses for at least 35 years, although the last one was 3 years ago.

The moment she handed the horse to someone else, it was no longer her horse. After the horse was sold multiple times at Amish auctions, papers or no papers, she had zero say in the matter.

She is damned lucky the horse was not taken to Mexico and slaughtered. That is what often happens to Arizona, Nevada, and California horses who are "free to a good home".

PETA can go to Sugarcreek, Kidron, Mt. Hope, and Farmerstown auctions every week. I think there is even an auction at Creston every week as well.

I strongly urge the PETA heads to go. They might learn a thing or two. By the way Bob Evans and many other large chains buy their livestock at these auctions. I talked for an hour with a Bob Evans buyer last fall. Very impressive how they handle these animals, despite the fact that they will be sausage within 12-24 hours of the auction.

Oh and by the way, had Ms. Wiener contacted the USTA prior to the original change of ownership and asked that the horse be designated "pleasure only", guess what? They would have designated the registration as pleasure only and it could never have been changed.

Working in the restaurant industry I never had an employee that didn't drive a car because they couldn't afford one.
