Granted it looks like he does make some bad judgement calls but what's morally wrong to us may not be to others. For the record , he would probably be a person I would not hang with or like but let the powers that be make the final decision.

Problem is the powers that be tend to suck.
The laws and enforcement of them regarding animals and animal creulty are archaic.

In states like Ohio where livestock  and farming are so prevelant its even more tilted against the animals and in favor of the humans.

Factory farming is inherently cruel just buy its nature.
Like to see the laws changed.
Wont happen though and I still eat steak and bacon.

The sport is littered with the good the bad and the ugly.

I have no idea where this guy lands.

Heard about this thread from a friend and need to pass this info along.  about the accident in n j  . Even if this is the same guy i do know he was only the driver doing a favor for the regular driver that normally went,  the truck and trailer was taken to him already loaded and the reason he got charges was the fact that whoever loaded him, loaded him top heavy and over weight  by less than a 1000 pounds.  Also we all know accidents can happen to anyone. He was just in wrong spot wrong time in this case.

Really?

Dude drove a trailer with 196 animals on a 20 foot trailer.
80 of them died there at the highway.

The rest I assume went to slaughter and we ate.

Jeremy 196 animals on a 20 foot trailer.

At what point does the person driving the trailer have any responsibility?

Should any person driving that tractor trailer ever be in possession of an animal?

I agree with you 3W, the guy is either stupid, a jerk or an asshole, or all three.

They died as a result of an accident, not from being overcrowded.  More could have died because they were overcrowded as a result of the accident, but being overcrowded is not what killed them.

If people didn't eat animals, they wouldn't have been going to slaughter for consumption, so that means every person that eats meat is to blame.  Except us in Ohio, Indiana and Chicago, because it was headed east.

He was charged  with multiple counts and did plead guilty to a count of animal cruelty. It does have some merit in the conversation.

Really would like to get some credible info on all of this.

An online forum would probably not be the best place to find the credible info.

But WTFDIK?
