What did you expect from the biggest liar and scumbag on any forum? He lives to run people through the sewer. Thanks for setting the record straight Gary!

I can't think of anything that can get everyones' hair up quicker than the topic of what to do with horses that can no longer race or like this one today that was supposedly going to retirement and ends up racing.  I would think the previous owner of said horse would be happy to see it alive and well enough to qualify today in 2 min. and some change.  hammerhead1  You have alot of "Marvin Rabers" to go thru to find the one in the New Jersery mess.  Don't think this "Marvin" is same one but who knows.  Those damn Amish get around fast.   hammerhead1

http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/warren-county/express-times/index.ssf/2010/10/driver_in_interstate_80_wreck.html

An estimated 80 sheep, goats and calves were killed Aug. 26 when Marvin Dale Raber, of Apple Creek....

....Authorities estimate 195 animals were packed into the 20-foot-long trailer.

Quote from: USTA Records
Raber, Marvin D   875G81   Apple Creek   OH   3   3   ScD

How many are from Apple Creek?   How many middle name Dale?

Come on people, 195 animals in an 20' trailer.   80 of which died at his hands.

Screw him.

He forged the papers, 100% fact.   He knew what he did.

Karma, I suppose is the only thing that will equalize this scenario.

Now wait a minute............3 charges of animal cruelty were withdrawn........and he received a small fine?

Poor use of judgement in my opinion but out and out cruelty  noway?  I guess even a judge didn't see it this way.

Sheep aren't that big. You can squeeze a lot of them into a trailer. I don't think that is that baaaaa aaaaaa  aaaaad.

Checked the article. Marvin needs to be more careful with things.

I am guessing some of the people here know him?
Is he a good guy?

Also if you sell a horse to the amish you really dont know where it will end up. They are tougher on horses than anyone else. They will sell it to slaughter or whomever offers them a profit or money on the animal after he no longer has a use for them. Id personaly rather be put down than sent to live on aan amish farm is I was a horse.

I think the author of this thread is trying to do the right thing.
Would be nice if a vet with honesty and integrity checked the horse out and gave a report on his soundness.
And dont say if hes racing hes sound. Hundreds of unsound horses race every week.

My concern first and foremost is for the horse.
And wish him the best.

Interesting thread and I had to comment  4pezz2 4pezz2 4pezz2 4pezz2

between this post and that girl regarding child support, you need to be a little more skeptical people aren't all that good.

Jeremy you have a memory like an elephant.

The author of this thread deserves alot of the abuse. Primarily for a continued association with the scumbag site. Well after it was known and unacceptable for anyone who gives a damn about anything in the sport.

But I have come to forgive and forget and like just about everyone.

The author of this post is impulsive, sometimes misguided and goes way over board and is what he is.
I do not think he is as malicious as some think he is.

I like you and Headpole and Tross and etc etc.
I  like Amy. And think there are a bunch of good people here. Thats why I come here.

Hopefully when you get older you will feel the same way.

Now instead of derailing this with my not being skeptical enough of people.

Do people here know the person in question? People whoms opinion would be respected.

If it was a guy from here. Id either
1. stick up for him. Which means I like him
2. not mention him which means I didnt.

Something is a amiss here but this was just brought to my attention, I guess he got off easy in this court and 3 days later the following charges were brought up.

http://origin-www-prod.lehighvalleylive.com/warren-county/index.ssf?/base/news-3/1283227513293740.xml&coll=3

I am not finding any follow-up to these charges?   But there were many.

...In keeping with Hunker's count, the SPCA filed 195 animal cruelty criminal charges and an equal number of civil complaints, SPCA Capt. Rick Yocum said Monday....

....Yocum said it is not uncommon for slaughter-bound animals to be crammed into small trailers and trucks.

"It's all about dollars and cents," he said. ....

What does this?

Marvin Raber stole this horse,  tried to race and got caught.   Then pushed horse thru a fake sale and is trying again.   We need you.

 The Raber shenanigans continue...

He has STAR in to qualify at Scioto on Tuesday July 10.

PLEASE, for all that want to help STAR... we need to CALL SCIOTO before 10am their time.

Call the Race Office 614-491-2426 or Toll-Free Number: 1-800-723-6967 Call the Judges 614-491-5855

PLEASURE HORSE ONLY, CANNOT RACE !

Have to do with this?

Lets stick to the facts , just because he can't drive too well and doesn't know how to load livestock has nothing to do with what your subject is about.

...Top it off this same Raber is the one who was charge in New Jersey with animal cruelty, that was real...

There are no New Jersey or USTA rulings against Marvin.......so are you sure about this?

All that was in response to this.   The general progression of the thread.

My initial statement went to general fitness and moral turpitude of the subject in question.

Granted it looks like he does make some bad judgement calls but what's morally wrong to us may not be to others. For the record , he would probably be a person I would not hang with or like but let the powers that be make the final decision.

Lets stick to the facts , just because he can't drive too well and doesn't know how to load livestock has nothing to do with what your subject is about.

He was charged  with multiple counts and did plead guilty to a count of animal cruelty. It does have some merit in the conversation.

Really would like to get some credible info on all of this.
