Suffering from my annual summer dose of the intestinal flu

I either caught the 24 hour flu or I ate some bad cantaloupe or something yesterday, but I actually had to call in sick for the first time in 2012 today. Actually think the damage is over for the most part. Whatever was inside of me is no longer inside of me, I can assure you!

Woke up at 2:15 am, showered, got ready for work...and it hit me just as I was about to walk out the door. Went running back to the bathroom, and immediately called the boss. I absolutely hate calling off work, especially on a Sunday which usually is one of our better days.

Hope you are felling better.  It's been so long since  I've had the flu , but that's because I've had every flu known to man, so now I'm immune to flu. You'll get there one of these days .

I actually think it was food poisoning of some sort, possibly from a cantaloupe I ate yesterday. Tasted very sweet, but was really soft in some spots....though not nearly as soft as it is at this point.

Honestly and I swear I mean this 1000%, I wish I'd been there with you. I love being there Sundays. I sat in the chair all day and moved from the chair to the kitchen and to the bathroom. Still in my underwear! Couldn't even go back to bed, but I did fall asleep for a while watching tv.

Actually feeling pretty good now...getting hungry. Should I punish my oversized tummy with some nuked White Castles?

I think I have stopped. I don't keep much normal food here-just chips, cheese, soup, spaghetti, and cereal. And of course there are usually White Castles.

The soup is Ramen noodles chicken flavor. I doubt the tummy could take that just yet.
