Currier & Ives: Win Missy B--Finally

Paul MacDonnell, David Miller and Brian Sears all failed at getting the much touted Win Missy B home in her previous three 2012 starts, so trainer Charlie Norris had to take matters into his own hands in the first division of the Currier & Ives at the Meadows today. As it was the 1-9 favorite, Missy, barely beat Dave Palone and Ron Burke

Matt Kakaley won his first stakes race at The Meadows in the second division of the C & I with Ron Gurfein's Cantab Hall filly, Delicious. She won by open lengths in 56.

In the first division Missy had set a new stakes record of 54.4.

Shanty Irish, a Muscles Yankee filly from the Burke barn, finished third against nw3 at M1 on Friday, but she still had plenty left to come off a pocket trip and breeze by 4-5 favorite Cocktail Attire in the third division of the C & I. Tony Schadel had it all his way as he cut an even mile with splits of 28, 29.2, 29.3 and 29.1. The winner, driven by Dave Palone, went off at 7-2.
