When Sweet Lou finished fourth as the odds-on favourite in the Pepsi North America Cup, trainer Ron Burke pledged to undertake a complete review of the colt's rigging. He has done just that.
The result: Sweet Lou will be sporting new shoes for the July 7 Meadowlands Pace eliminations.

He must not mind the Big M or his new rigging. Trained in 1:49 today, despite shying from a tractor. Ron Burke said he was "well within himself."

I have to admit, I have trained several horses that fast....for 7/8 of a mile.  slaphead noway
