Running Aces horses
« on: June 10, 2012, 10:51:56 AM »
Tonight starts my reign of terror at Running Aces!   rflmao1

Yiannoulas Boy is in the 10th from the rail.  It has been almost s month since he was in a race, so I expect he will need this one.  However, with that said, typically he has been sharp off of breaks, and he has enough gate speed to get away 2nd or 3rd for sure, so hopefully he can get a decent chunk.  $6500 is way more than we race for here!

Wild About Eagle is in the 6th on Tuesday, #5 in a 5-horse field, handicapped to the outside.  She has been sharp since getiing to Minnesota, so this one should go well.  We claimed her for $3000 just over two months ago, she has won $5800 for us in 5 starts, and races for $7000 Tuesday.  I expect her to have a very good summer at Aces!   thumbsup

So I think it worked out just as I thought!   lilcheerleader

Yiannoulas Boy needed the start, and got 4th in a driving rainstorm Sunday night.

Wild About Eagle won the feature tonight!  Not bad...she won more money tonight than what we claimed her for 2 months ago.   Fortunately it was a short field, and she got away with an easy first half.  Perfect scenario also as it was her 1st start in 17 days.  Hopefully she gets better, and a few more will be in next week and we go for a bigger purse!

Any idea if she will she be back in Tuesday 19 when we are there with HHYF?

The Mares open is on the condition sheet for next Tuesday, so she should be in unless there is a problem or the race doesn't fill.  I suspect the latter won't happen since the race didn't go that fast, others may enter to give it a try.  And they are also combining races to get everyone raced, so you should see her in next Tuesday.

Being up here is like being at Northfield a few years back. It was Sandy Mapes' birthday. Langley wins a race. Gregg Keidel, Debby Cox, Bob Corey is the P. J. And there was crowd to watch the races!
Mr B- the kids were so tired we sent them home with parents about 8:30 or 9m so we missed your race. We appreciate the offer though. I thought Eagle was a decent third, but was nearly unconscious from the length of the day and the $1 Hebrew National hot dogs.
I saw Steve's other horse raced well, too.
