I was in a bar in The French Quarter that had Cubs paraphenalia on all the walls. I was wearing a STL Cards cap. The bartender sruck up a conversation with me. I asked him why so many folks in The Big Easy were Cubs fans, he said, (Well... folks in Nawlins don't like to worry about nothin', so we know the Cubs ain't gonna do nothin' anyway, so we can just relax and watch them while we drinkin'." He noted that NO doesn't have MLB team, so baseball fans wanted to adopt a team to watch.
