Pat Quinn has exactly 1/2 0f 1% of the brains of a piss-ant. If Speaker Madigan orders him to sign anything, he'll eventually sign it. But it'll take months before the message gets from his brain to his hand. I've never had much hope for the slots bill. Too much campaign money offered by the casinos. jmo

I got a call yesterday that was a survey about allowing slots at the tracks.  Of course, I was all for it.

It was a recorded survey. 4 questions amd 4 choices per question.  I'm sure they said, but I don't recall.  I know the last question delt with if your vote for your reps would be affected by their stance on the slots.  Of course I said I 'd vote for them if they supported slots at the tracks.  I don'tknow, but I would guess the survey was limited to registered voters.
