Mike Smith will be riding Bodemeister in the Derby.

He really was impressive today, I just wonder if he bounces off that effort. He is deserving of being the Derby fave IMO.

Just watched Bodemeister in the Ark Derby again. Last quarter in 11.97 after setting a decent pace. I've already heard comparisons to Curlin when he won the Arkansas Derby by 10 1/2 in 2006.

I wonder if Hansen and Bodemeister will duel each other into submission in the Derby?

Mike did say in his interview after the race that he could of rated if he wanted to, but he was going so easy he just decided to take him to the top

He is a freak. I loved him last time in Cali and thought he ran good but today was something. I have been on the Union Rags bandwagon all along, now  I am thinking exotic plays instead of a big win bet.

105 Beyer for Bodemeister. That makes 3 for him this year. The last 2 horses to enter the Derby with 3 or more 100+ Beyers: 2006. Both Brother Derek and Sweetnorthernsaint had 4 100+ Beyers before entering the Derby.
