I never said Foiled Again was the best or going to be the champ, all I said was what a beast and i am glad i will get to see him live on the 12th


As for SZ, first off in the mare race, all he had to do was move before Timmy did to the top and sit the 2 hole behind him.  Yes he had time, and just does not know how to give that horse a chance when the big money is on the line

As For Alasace, whatch the replay all he has to do is leave A Little and he has the rail no worse than 5th before the first turn. I think those 2 spots on the track difference and he is a winner and choosing his post instead of hoping to get lucky now and get one inside.

The trainer disagrees with you on both counts. Alsace tried to leave and then saw what was going inside and took back. It was absolutely the right choice.

Well that is a tough choice to make when you are going for 600K and now you have to hope you don't get post 10. I guess coming from last at 2-1 and taking it easy till the last part of the race is a good way to take care of all the people who bet him as well ( I did not make a wager in the race, thought is was a horrible drive)

As for maureen, maybe yes maybe know WTF is that?. Thought you knew racing. Make the move and sit the pocket how hard is that. Guess it was better to go first over to Anndrovette ( Did I spell it right this time?)

Just curious about SZ and Alsace...what do you think he should have done? O'Sullivan told me he would be flying late because from that post he didn't want to get caught wide early. 5 advance from 8. Seemed smart to me. How many first-overs (SZ with, was it Modern Connection? as an example) got caught and ended up on the sidelines next week?
Maureen rocks is sharp and racing well, but she is no Anndrovette (spell it right laddies or a particular poster may be unhappy )

I agree with your comment about first-overs which is exactly why Zeron's drive on Maureen Rocks was bad IMO. Go back and watch the replay paying special attention to the entry into the first turn. Zeron leaves and settles in third with Anndrovette right behind in fourth. It looks like Zeron starts to come out and brush to the top (the right move) then ducks back in just as TT on Anndrovette pull and brush the lead. By sitting in - now 4th behind 49/1 and 66/1 - he guarantees himself a shuffle or a first over trip.

If Zeron brushes he should easily clear the two longshots. He would then release Anndrovette and sit in the pocket the rest of the way, giving himself a chance to win. The 2nd qtr only went 29.1 so it wasn't like the longshots were loose on the lead setting brisk fractions. It just shows how strong Maureen was as she was actually gaining slowly on Androvette much of the stretch and wasn't put away until the last 100 yds. Maureen paced home 27.1 27.2 after leaving to 3rd into a 26.1 opening qtr.

Maureen now gets to leave from the rail, which will force Zeron to make a decision. Not the ideal place to leave from; elim winners are choosing middle posts for a reason.

Good luck to JBamond with Anndrovette. Given the right drive Maureen is definately capable of pulling-off the mild upset.

Did you ever hear of the word humble Giss? You do not know as much as you think you do and sometimes just listening might help you learn more sorry. Just my opinion of course.

To which you are entitled, of course. I asked a question. tonyb took the time to answer it, which I appreciate. You did not.

Handicappers watch races and draw conclusions. Maybe I was right, maybe I was wrong. So I asked for information and opinions.

Amy - having snail around makes life more interesting (at least for now) and I have been quite bored of late.
