This was suggested to Northfield management by a certain now ex-publicity director in 2007 or 2008 when the "lipstick" cameras prices had come down to a few hundred bucks. It was deemed not to be worthwhile investment. But that slate fountain in the waiting area sure looks nice. 4pezz2

We learned in our initial trials of the mini-cams to not put them on a fron-running favorite, cuz the scenery never changes. Good horses that like to lay off the pace and close big make the best views.

For non-drivers: all the clicking you hear early after the start is limestone pelting the camera that's flying up from the horses' shoes. The drivers get pelted the entire mile, and if the track is deep, it's really hiiting you.

Glad too see any interest in showing the public something new. Kud thumbsup thumbsupos!

If they tried to broadcast any of the audio from races at QCD, the ones where Tom Simmons or John Reese had the other parked, it would just be 2 minutes of bleeps.

Nicholas Boyd and Billy Davis Jr (driver) were tweeting about this seemingly common occurrence on twitter.

Nicholas Boyd: last race Flam yesterdau when J Harris got parked by Brandon on the retake, were there choice words following?

Davis:Brandon was called a lot of names and there was some profound language.

Ps I don't think I need to tell you what 'profound' really means. rflmao1
