Chan Gailey, Buffalo thumbsdown
Pat Shurmur, Browns thumbsdown
Norv Turner, Chargers thumbsdown
Romeo Crennel, Chiefs thumbsdown
Dennis Allen, Raiders thumbsdown
Jason Garrett, Cowboys thumbsdown
Ron Rivera, Panthers thumbsdown
Who will go, IMO:
Crennel redrose
Allen redrose
Andy Reid, Eagles redrose
Rivera redrose
Jim Schwartz, Lions redrose
Who do you think will go?
Will Sean Payton return to NO?
Will Jon Gruden leave the confines of MNF?
How about NCAA coaches?
-
San Diego got hosed today on a block in the back on the 4 and 29 play and got a horrible spot but how about Norv's play calling with 3:48 left ? why in the hell was he throwing ball 4pezz2
-
Sean Payton will be back with the Saints
Garrett - Gone
Reid - Gone but will be a head coach somewhere else next year
Turner - might be gone tomorrow
Gailey - for some reason i think he stays
Schwartz - Gone
Crennel - Gone
Allen - Stays
How much money do you think is going to be thrown at Cowher ?
Chip Kelly Oregon - No doubt he ends up in the NFL next year
Bill O'Brien Penn St - don't be suprised if he takes an NFL job
Brian Kelly ND - Will some team throw big money at him ?
Mike Holmgren - Will he return to coaching ? i say yes
David Shaw Stanford - does somebody take a shot on him ?
Jay Gruden - ?
Bruce Ariens- done a pretty good in Indy with Pagano sidelined
Cowher - Carolina ?
In a perfect world the Cowboys fire Pat Garret and hire Norv Turner rflmao1

How about Bruce Ariens? Kinda Figured you would remember his name since he was your O cord the last few years rflmao1

how has Norv kept his job all these years?
-
The NFL was one of the first ecologically sound, "green" businesses. They have been recycling their garbage for years.
-

I have been asking that question since he was hired. The football gods have certainly had Marty Schottenheimer on their minds!
-
It's always amazed me that losing coaches keep getting recycled instead of giving a new coach a shot. Baseball also does it all the time.
I always liked Mike Shannahan's coaching style. As for my Dallas Cowboys: Tom Landry, Bear Bryant, Ara Parsegian, Mike Ditka, and Vince Lombardi, as a tag team, couldn't please Jerry Johnson.(or keep his interfering ass off the field)
-
I would hire Pope to manage a baseball team before I'd hire a single manager that was fired in the past five years.

Yup, thanks for the correction. Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson always jump into memory when I think about Dem Boyz, Dem Cowboys.
-
Some of the Dallas players (anonimously) said that after Jerry Jones said that a trained monkey could win a Super Bowl with the team he put together, Jimmy Johnson said something like, "Well how would like to kiss a trained monkey's ass!" Jones fired him.
How's that workin' for ya Jerr? rflmao1

I remember seeing a video of Mangini a few years back talking harness racing with Barack Obama. Those boys knew their stuff.

I am going to take the under and the only reason why is that some of these guys who should be launched have a lot of money left on their deals and the owners don't wanna eat that. 4 guys are gone already. Reid, Schurmur, Norv, and Romeo. Rex Saved this morning.

What kind of gm gets a player like Tebow for a coach that doesn't want him?
Getting rid of Heckert was stupid, not talking to Shurmer for weeks shows a lack of respect and maturity.

There should be some very happy fools in Chicago. Hope their next head coach can actually teach the offensive line to block or 10-6 might turn to 6-10.
The other 5 victims had it coming. Late surge by Panthers could save Ron Rivera. Titans are crazy. Raiders even crazier. Cowboys will continue to under achieve. 'Zona should have kept Wisenhunt IMO & instead looked for a real QB. Wiz should be Bears' 1st interview.
How did Detroit lose their last 8 with Stafford & Calvin & there's no mention of Schwartz. When all the Dolphins had was a passing game with Marino, they were still a perennial playoff team.

Side note--Don Schula's steakhouses suck! I wouldn't eat there for free if you gave me a gift certificate. I'd sell it on Ebay.

Bad experience? It's my wife's favorite restaurant but she eats seafood. You could eat there free on the month of your birthday! (It's Shula)

he just signed a big extension in the offseason, so that might be the reason. Only thing that makes sense.

Id be happy to contribute some dough if some team would hire Cowher just so I dont have to watch him on the pregame show and during highlights...he's just awful as hes either smiling or foaming at the mouth as hes waiting to talk..throw Shannon Sharpe in there as well 4pezz2

I think Fox's pregame show is so much better just because of what you just said .
-
the future winning team will finally get Cowher out of retirement or Andy Reid
the loser gets Norv, or dare I say The Mangenius

NFL insider: Todd Haley could replace Ken Whisenhunt
By Adam Green/Arizona Sports
Should the Arizona Cardinals decide to fire head coach Ken Whisenhunt at the conclusion of this season, they'll have to begin a search to replace the only man in history to lead the team to the Super Bowl.
As it turns out, that search could lead to someone who was right beside Whisenhunt during the entire playoff run.
"Todd Haley, Pittsburgh's offensive coordinator, I continue to hear from multiple sources that the Arizona Cardinals are high on him to replace Ken Whisenhunt," CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora said on the network's NFL pregame show Sunday. "You have to remember, the Bidwill family there, they wanted to add him to Whisenhunt's staff a year ago.
"He's very popular there."
Haley spent two years in Arizona as the offensive coordinator, and is credited for helping to turn Kurt Warner's career around and make the team's offense one of the best in the league.
He left Arizona to coach the Kansas City Chiefs following Super Bowl XLIII, where he lasted less than three seasons. Haley led the team to the postseason in 2010, but had a 19-26 record before being fired 13 games into the 2011 season.
And, as LaCanfora said, there were rumors that the Cardinals were interested in bringing Haley back as offensive coordinator before this season, but Whisenhunt ultimately chose to stick with Mike Miller at the position.

Sounds like Andy Reid to Arizona.

Report: Chip Kelly to meet with Cleveland Browns on Friday
Oregon head coach Chip Kelly will meet with the Browns after the Fiesta Bowl (Steve Dykes/Getty Images)
Oregon head coach Chip Kelly will meet with Cleveland Browns execs on Friday. Cleveland fired head coach Pat Shurmur after he posted a 9-23 record over two seasons with the team.
Kelly met with Tampa Bay last year and came close to making the jump to the NFL. ESPN reports that Browns CEO Joe Banner is in Arizona and intends to interview Kelly on Friday. But first, Kelly has to focus on Thursday
-
Now Andy Reid maybe to the Chiefs, so much for that 95% sure report that he was going to Arizona.

he will not be unemployed for long

All signs point to Andy Reid to chiefs might be announced later today.

Pioli Fired this morning, 100% sure Reid is the Chiefs next coach
-
Doug Marrone to the Bills. Browns walk away from Chip Kelly because his heart is not 100% into leaving Oregon, per PD's mary Kay Cabot.
Colts Arians ok in hospital. Banner and Haslam, stop putzing around with college guys and hire him already.
And, if you let Mike Lombardi anywhere near this team, I will never buy Pilot or Flying J gas again.
-
And Mularkey to the list of coaches didn't make it.
-
McCoy to San Diego
Final 3 for the bears Job, Trestman, Bevell, Ariens
Gus Bradley The Fav to get the Philly Job
Looking like the rest of the league feels like a lot of people in Chicago, as Lovie won't be getting a head coaching Position.
-
I'm hoping for Ariens for the Bears job..he was real tight with Big Ben in Pittsburgh and did a heck of a job under some tough circumstances in Indy this year. Seems to be a good playcaller willing to take some chances offensively which we be quite refreshing in Chicago.
