Belmont Stakes

barring a mishap or a terrible ride by the jockey i cannot get past american pharoah as the winner
a few of these are still elgible for a nw1x allowance
im not a fan of baffert or zayat but the horse looks the best.
the weather forecast looks good so unless the racing gods are going to frown on the baffert/zayat team the triple crown drought looks to be over

I know nothing about the flats but after watching the Preakness, I cannot see anyone even sniffing him.

I think it would be funny if Pharoah won after the owner of California Chrome whined after the Belmont last year.

I think this is the year for a Triple Crown winner.  Frosted gets my respect, however.  Could make this interesting...or not.

I think I went to the Belmont one year too early.  This year they are limiting the crowd to 90,000.  Last year it was the most disorganized major event I've ever been to.  Pharoah could be at 80%and I still think he could beat this bunch.  Coach Q has his horses trained by Bobby B, so if Pharoah does win I look for the Hawks to sweep.

think Pharoah looks tough to beat but I'm taking a pot shot with Materiality..didnt get to run his race in the Derby yet finished well after being way back..also gets JV back in the saddle and should be up close thruout..8 with 5,6,7

Laughing at Zayat, like people don't know he syndicated the horse already. If it's the people's horse, then you let him race next year.

Was at Arlington Saturday to take in card and watch the Belmont.   American Pharoah performed as expected.  Just a gorgeous looking beast.
It is amazing how much Arlington has fallen.  8 races on the card and half of them were for maidens.  Biggest purse was $25,000, nw 3 I think. It will be closed in a couple years.

Glad to see someone finally win and a deserving horse. Every quarter mile past the half was faster then the previous one. Pretty impressive!
